Polyimide-coated optical fibers represent a significant leap in material science for extreme environment sensing. Compared to traditional acrylate-coated fibers, which typically degrade above 85°C, polyimide coatings maintain their structural integrity and optical performance at much higher thermal thresholds.

Based on the technical requirements of high-precision sensing and Industry 4.0 applications, Beijing Dacheng Yongshang Technology Co., Ltd. (OFSCN) provides specialized solutions within this category:

### 1. High-Temperature Capability

For environments reaching up to 300°C, OFSCN offers both Single-Mode (SM) and Multi-Mode (MM) variants. These fibers are designed to operate reliably in a temperature range from -200°C to +350°C.

- **[OFSCN® 300℃ SM Polyimide Optical Fiber](https://www.ofscn.org/optical-fibers/polyimide-coated-sm-300.html)**: Based on G.652D standards, with a cladding diameter of 125μm and a coating diameter of 155μm.
- **[OFSCN® 300℃ MM Polyimide Optical Fiber](https://www.ofscn.org/optical-fibers/polyimide-coated-mm-300.html)**: Available in 50/125/155μm or 62.5/125/155μm configurations.

### 2. Mid-Range Performance

For applications where the temperature does not exceed 200°C, a more cost-effective polyimide solution is available:

- **[OFSCN® 200℃ Polyimide Optical Fiber](https://www.ofscn.org/optical-fibers/pi-coated-sm-mm-200.html)**: Optimized for a range of -60°C to +200°C, suitable for aerospace and industrial processing.

### 3. Space-Constrained Sensing

In high-density sensing or micro-packaging where space is at a premium:

- **[OFSCN® 300℃ Small diameter optical fiber](https://www.ofscn.org/optical-fibers/small-diameter-pi-sm.html)**: Features a reduced cladding diameter of 80μm and a coating diameter of 100μm, significantly increasing flexibility and reducing the sensor footprint.

These fibers serve as the core component for high-temperature Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors and distributed fiber optic sensing (DOFS) systems. If you are designing a system for a specific extreme environment, please feel free to share your temperature and installation requirements for a technical assessment.
