This product is the OFSCN® 300℃ Small Diameter Optical Fiber, specifically designed for applications requiring a compact footprint and high-temperature resilience.
Technical Overview
Compared to standard optical fibers (which typically have a 125μm cladding and 250μm coating), this fiber significantly reduces the geometric dimensions to 80μm (cladding) and 100μm (coating). This makes it ideal for high-density sensing arrays, miniature fiber optic components, and aerospace applications where space and weight are critical.
Key Specifications:
- Operating Temperature: Ranges from -200℃ to +350℃ (up to -270℃ in specific cryogenic environments).
- Fiber Geometry: 9μm core / 80μm cladding / 100μm polyimide coating.
- Fiber Core: Default doped silica core; pure silica core is available for radiation-resistant environments.
- Coating: High-performance Polyimide, providing excellent chemical resistance and thermal stability.
