The flexibility of a rope combined with high tensile strength in OFSCN® 2.0mm Steel Wire Rope Fiber Optic Patch Cords is achieved through its unique construction. These patch cords incorporate a 0.6mm galvanized steel wire stranded structure, which provides excellent flexibility, allowing the cable to bend and move like a rope. This stranded steel wire structure also works in conjunction with a 1.0mm seamless stainless steel tube that encapsulates the optical fiber, creating a robust, all-metal design.

This design enables the patch cord to resist tensile forces exceeding 1500N (approximately 150kg) while maintaining its flexibility. The combination of stranded steel wire and seamless steel tubing protects the delicate optical fiber from both tensile stress and external crushing forces.
