When standard products cannot fully meet specific outer diameter or temperature requirements, OFSCN® actively provides customized solutions. This is a common aspect of our service, as many industrial and research applications have unique operational constraints.
Our approach to customization involves:
- Tailored Design: For specific outer diameter requirements, our engineering team can design sensors with modified encapsulation. For example, for OFSCN® 100°C Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensors, while the default outer diameter is 0.9 mm, it can be customized down to 0.6 mm. Similarly, for OFSCN® 300°C Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensors and OFSCN® 500°C Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensors, the minimum customizable outer diameter is 0.5 mm, and for OFSCN® 800°C Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensors, it can also be customized to 0.5 mm.
- Expanded Temperature Ranges: Our various sensor models are designed for different operating temperature ranges, such as -40℃ to 100℃, -200℃ to 300℃, -200℃ to 500℃, and -270℃ to 800℃. For requirements that fall outside these standard ranges or demand specific thermal response characteristics, we can customize the sensor design and calibration. The OFSCN® Ceramic-encapsulated Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor, for instance, offers customizable temperature zones up to a maximum of -270℃ to 800℃.
- Encapsulation Technologies: We utilize various encapsulation technologies, such as seamless steel tubes for high-temperature and harsh environments, and ceramic tubes for applications requiring electrical insulation. These technologies can be adapted to achieve the desired physical dimensions and environmental resilience.
